By rail or by road, the journey to Sahambavy is already part of the experience: tea-covered hills, terraced rice paddies and Betsileo villages accompany your arrival on the lakeshore.

The hotel is located just a 2-minute walk from the Sahambavy Railway Station, directly on the historic Fianarantsoa–Manakara (FCE) line.
Step off onto the platform: the hotel awaits you on the lakeshore, only a few steps away. An arrival from another era, at the gentle pace of the highland train.
40 minutes from Fianarantsoa
From Fianarantsoa: A scenic 40-minute drive from the city center. From Antananarivo (via RN7): Take National Road 7 south and turn left at the village of Ambalakely (marked by the Shell station).
A paid shuttle service is available for hassle-free transportation. Please contact reception to arrange your pickup. A private 4x4 transfer between Lac Hôtel and Fianarantsoa is also available (Ar 120,000 · €25).
